'And passing wonderful...'
The Chapel is open every day from 8.30am until after 10pm. Everyone is welcome to use the chapel at any time for quietness, reflection, prayer or just 'to disappear for a while'.

The chapel is both a place of stillness and silence as well as a place of vibrant, beautiful worship and social interaction. After many chapel liturgies and in particular, Sunday Evensong, there is always a glass of sherry or fruit juice on offer and on special celebratory occasions, we enjoy a glass of prosecco and a sparkling soft drink. This 'duality' of encountering one another within and beyond chapel liturgy helps to form a stronger community and allows people to make new friends.

If you are new to Christ's you will find Chapel worship and chaplaincy social occasions particularly helpful in meeting new people as you settle in to College life.
That's no problem at all. You will be made very welcome. There is, as they say, a first time for everything...
Yes of course! Whether you are in Christ’s as a student, member of staff or fellow, or planning on coming to Christ’s, then you will have every chance of playing an active role in chapel, if you wish to. Many people simply come to worship or listen to the music and there will be no pressure on you to take ‘a job’. But, if you are willing to read, lead intercessions, serve at the Eucharist, act as an acolyte or administer the chalice or would like to be a chapel sacristan or usher, then all you have to do is talk to or contact the Chaplain!
Yes! The chapel is open and inclusive and a place of enquiry. If you have never been to chapel before but would like to come then all you have to do is walk through the door and a warm welcome awaits you! Even if you have been in Christ’s for 3 years and have never been inside the chapel.
Yes. In fact many people come to chapel on their own to take time out, to gather strength, to find space, to pray and worship or simply to 'get away from it all'. Although it might be difficult to think of going somewhere on your own, without friends, a chapel service is different. It is not like going to the pub or the cinema: when in chapel, everyone is together and no-one will feel conspicuous. If you want to bring someone with you, then that's good too.
