Heavily involved in public understanding of mathematics; I often give talks for schoolchildren, teachers and the general public. Executive Editor of "Plus", an online magazine for the general public about the applications of mathematics (named "best science site on the web" in 2001), which is part of the Millennium Mathematics Project.
