1. All members of staff over the age of 18 and under the age of 60 are eligible to join the Cambridge Colleges’ Federated Pension Scheme (CCFPS) on the completion of six months’ service unless you join us from another College and are already a member of the Scheme. Full details of the scheme are available from the College Office, but any member of staff who needs individual advice on pensions should contact the CCFPS Office, NOT the College Office.
2. All full time staff may take lunch in upper hall free of charge. 3. Part time staff who work one or more full days, may take lunch in Upper Hall and receive the subsidy only on the days on which they work a full day.
4. Holders of a First Aid Certificate of a type approved by the College Safety Officer will be entitled to an annual non pensionable supplement, payable in monthly instalments in addition to pay, for as long as the certificate is held.
5. A Conference Bonus payment will be made to all staff in the November of each year. This Conference Bonus is related both to the amount of business generated by conferences and external commercial business carried out in the College throughout the year and to the level of involvement of individual staff in the course of this business. The figure may alter each year according to the levels of business activity.
6. Members of staff who have been absent for long periods through illness or other cause will be rewarded pro rata. Members of Staff who have been the subject of disciplinary matters may forfeit the right to the bonus.
7. There is an active Staff Social Club, which organises various social activities throughout the year. The College sets aside a day in the calendar for the annual staff outing, the cost of which is subsidised by the College. It should be noted, however, that members of staff who do not go on the staff outing cannot have the day off.
