It is not often that students of theology get to spend two hours with one of the world's greatest living theologians. That is precisely what happened on Friday 13 November, when Archbishop Rowan Williams dropped in to have lunch and to lead a theological seminar with some of Christ's students. 16 students joined Archbishop Rowan in the Chaplain's rooms, to meet over wholesome food and to talk about theological issues of concern and interest. The five Christ's theology students were joined by other members of College who had studied one of the Archbishop's books, Tokens of Trust, last academic year as part of the Chaplain's Lent term study group.
The Reverend Christopher Woods, the Chaplain of Christ's said, "This particular Friday lunchtime was a rare opportunity that went by all too quickly, but one which was most enlightening, refreshing and energising, for which we were very grateful. I think Archbishop Rowan, who is both an alumnus and honorary fellow of the College, knows he has a welcome home here in Christ's at any time."
