Lord Winston preaches in College Chapel

Lord Winston after the Chapel service on Sunday 22 NovemberOn Sunday 22 November, the College was delighted to welcome Professor the Lord Winston, FMedSci, to deliver the final sermon in the series, 'Science and Faith: there's more than one way to look at life...', to a packed congregation. Lord Winston is Professor of Science and Society at Imperial College, London, and a passionate scientific educator. He is well-known for his popular documentaries on mainstream television including, A Child of our Time, A Child against all odds and The Story of God.  As a practising Jew, Lord Winston brought profound and insightful reflections into the story of the creation narratives and how it does not conflict with Darwinian evolution.  His reflections were entitled Bekesh and Bikshah: enquiry, invention and Maimondes' interpretation of the Creation narratives.
