Director of Policy of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation preaches in Christ's College

On Sunday 26 October, in the context of Choral Evensong, Mr William Chapman, who is Director of Policy for the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, preached a sermon entitled 'Half a mile from the Village'.

The sermon formed part of a series of addresses aimed at tackling the difficult subject of the gap between faith and contemporary society.  The sermon series comes as the College celebrates the birth of the political polemicist and poet, John Milton, who studied at Christ's College.

The College Chaplain, the Revd Christopher Woods said, 'It was a great pleasure to welcome to the College community, William Chapman from the Office of Tony Blair, and in particular to hear how the Blair Faith Foundation is itself attempting to tackle the growing secularism and shocking apathy to religious faith in our world.'

William Chapman joined the Tony Blair Faith Foundation having previously been the Prime Minister's Appointment's Secretary at 10 Downing Street.
