Christ's College Chapel has been present in its present location since the College's foundation in 1505 but was consecrated for use as a place of prayer and worship and for the celebration of the sacred rites of the Church on or around 1 June 1510.
2010 is being kept as the quincentenary of the chapel, with special events and services throughout the year to celebrate this anniversary; to give thanks to God for the legacy and inheritance of the past and for faith and devotion which has been nurtured here and to look with hope and faith to the future of the life of Christ's College Chapel as the spiritual and pastoral heart of a developing College in a challenging world.
A special website has been launched with details of the year's events, projects and activities. It will be updated on a regular basis as the year progresses.
