Christ's College

After the success of last year's Lent Term foreign training camp, CCBC are going to repeat the camp this coming January. The details of the camp are much the same as last year with the club travelling by coach to Lake Aiguebelette near Lyon in France. Last year we found that the ability to have the club away from Cambridge, with uninterrupted rowing water not only allowed both ex-novices and seniors to make massive strides in their rowing technique, but also created strong bonds between club members.

Last year the College, Club and participating students all contributed towards the cost of the camp. On top of this, the club also ran a sponsored erg, which we will be repeating this year. The erg will take place on Saturday 3rd December from 6am to approximately 6pm. The aim will be to cover the distance from Cambridge to Aiguebelette on the ergs as a club within the 12 hour period. Last year current members, alumni and coaching staff all pulled together to help us reach the target. If you would be interested in joining us on the ergs and helping us to reach our target, please contact Alice Taylor-Bennett, the Captain of Boats.
