Christ's College

This original Christ’s College 1st May Boat 1870 Cap and Hat band is protected in a glass frame hanging in the men’s changing room. It belonged to A.T. Atchison, 1st Boat Captain 1869-1870, and was presented to the Boat Club by his son (?), G.T. Atchison, 1st Boat Captain 1899-1900. There is a picture of G.T in Treasures of the Boathouse 02: The White Horse crew, wearing not a hat band but the more common peaked cap.
