UK Taxpayers

Thank you very much for considering a gift to Christ's. You can choose to make a single gift or a regular gift. You could give through your payroll or make a gift of shares or securities. If you are a UK taxpayer and have signed the Gift Aid Declaration Form  your gift will be covered by the Gift Aid Scheme enabling College to augment your gift at no extra cost to you.

Single Gifts

All cash donations to the College by UK tax payers are covered by the Gift Aid scheme. Under Gift Aid, the College can recover £25 from the Inland Revenue for every £100 donated – at no extra cost to the donor. In addition, donors who are higher-rate tax payers can reclaim an additional £25 on every £100 donated (assuming a basic rate of Income Tax of 20% and a higher rate of 40%).

To make a single gift, please complete the single gift and Gift Aid sections of the donation form , and send it with your gift to Christ's College Development Office, Cambridge CB2 3BU. Cheques should be made payable to 'Christ's College Cambridge'. Single gifts can also be made by credit card online  by clicking on the link below.

Regular Gifts

You can choose to make a regular gift to Christ's College either by Standing Order or Direct Debit.

To set up a regular gift by standing order, please complete the regular gift and Gift Aid sections of the donation form, and send it to Christ's College Development Office, Cambridge CB2 3BU.

 Give as you earn (GAYE)

Under the Payroll Giving Scheme, employees can authorise their employer to deduct charitable donations from their pay before calculating Pay As You Earn tax. This means that the employee automatically gets tax relief on donations at his or her top rate of tax. There is no limit on the amount that can be given under the scheme.

    • What it means to me

    Being an international student with no relatives in the UK, I am expected to be financially independent with a source of financial aid that is based overseas and not locally. The relative isolation from the financial source may sometimes be stressful and the Studentship allows me to set my mind at ease.

    I am really grateful for the Alfred Harrison Bursary - it has been very useful for a number of reasons.  I am studying literature as part of my course (MML) and would have struggled to buy all of the set texts and other resources needed for my degree without it.  This financial help has also allowed me to concentrate more on my studies, particularly during the Christmas and Easter vacations when I would otherwise have had to find paid work.  I have especially appreciated this bursary in the period leading up to exams as it has enabled me to focus more on revision and academic work.  I would like to express my gratitude to all of the College's Benefactors who have kindly provided me and others with the Alfred Harrison Bursary.  It has made a real difference to my studies and my time so far at Christ's College, as I am sure it has for many others.

    I would say that it is a great honour to receive recognition and financial help for a sport that I have practised neigh on my whole life. In sport, small margins are crucial and the Monica Kornberg Award has allowed me to put in that extra bit of work that pulled me through in my second singles at Varsity this year.
