Suggested wording for your will

You may find this information useful when you visit your solicitor to make or update your will.

'I give to the [Master, Fellows and Scholars of Christ’s College in the University of Cambridge] [the residue] / [x% of the residue] of my estate] [or] [the sum of £x] free of tax as expendable endowment for the general purposes of the College. It is my wish, without creating a binding obligation on the College, that my legacy gift be used in support of [xx]. I direct that the receipt of a proper officer of the College shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my Trustees.'
