Christ's alumnus and sculptor, Anthony Smith, was interviewed on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on 27 January. He talks about his concept for the 'young Darwin' image which the forthcoming bronze sculpture seeks
to encapsulate.
The bronze of young Darwin, as a student at Christ's before he set off on the Beagle, was commissioned by the College from NST alumnus Anthony Smith (m 2002) and funded by a generous donation from NST alumnus Alan Smith (m 1964, no relation), now Senior Vice President, Research, Genzyme.
