You are warmly invited to join us for an evening of poetry and drinks in Chapel, to celebrate the legacy of John Milton (1608-74).
This is an open event, with short slots for readers to share their own poems, or favourite poems by other writers. Each reader will have five minutes, and alumni, students and fellows of Christ’s are all welcome to apply. At the start of the night, there will be short readings from the work of Christ’s College Alumni, including Archbishop Rowan Williams, Gavin Ewart and Milton himself. Drinks will be served afterwards in Chapel.
If you are interested in reading, please contact Helen Mort (hm317@cam.ac.uk) before November 1st with a rough proposal of what you would like to read. Please note that numbers of readers will be limited, so some people may be disappointed!
