Congratulations to Benedict Broy, who has recently received an Instrumental Award (violin) following the annual University competition. The Awards were set up to enable gifted players to reach a high standard of performance in chamber music. Award holders receive a small financial reward from the College but, more importantly, subsidies towards instrumental lessons, free chamber music coaching from major professional coaches (including the Endellion and Fitzwilliam String Quartets, pianist Ian Brown and oboist Celia Nicklin) and of course the opportunity to make like-minded friends and contacts.
Congratulations also to last year's award-holders, Duana Chan (violin) and Megan Riddington (viola) whose awards have been renewed.
