Alumnus Russell Barnes has won Bafta Scotland's Best Factual Series 2008 award for his series 'The Genius of Charles Darwin', presented by Richard Dawkins.

Russell read history at Christ's, and now works as a documentary maker. His latest project was a film about the Armistice, featuring Professor David Reynolds, shown at the start of November.

Russell's work will be featured in the next issue of Pieces magazine, due out in December.
