The Old Library at Christ’s College was founded by Lady Margaret Beaufort. She began a tradition of donating books that has continued through the centuries so that today the Library houses priceless special collections of rare books and manuscripts.

The Friends of the Old Library help the College to employ the specialist skills of the Cambridge Conservation Consortium to guarantee the long-term preservation and accessibility of this unique collection. To say thank you, the Library offers Friends some excellent benefits.
