Christ's at the Varsity Match
Christ's alumni are warmly invited to join together for this year's Varsity Match at Twickenham on Thursday 6 December.
Now you can show that you are still Light Blue, relive those college years and catch-up with old friends at the start of the festive season at this annual occasion.
The Blues Village in the West Car Park is the place for a Christ's College reunion at Twickenham with a dedicated college meeting pointed within the heated Cambridge marquee.
Tickets for the Blues Village are £50.00 including a top-price match ticket and your first pint/glass of wine is free. With live music, great food and beer at only £3.60 a pint, the Blues Village is open from 11am to 7pm(kick-off, 2pm) making it the perfect place for your reunion alongside Blues rugby legends, and the Cambridge team (after the game only!)
Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewer since 1698 is the “Official Brewer of The Varsity Match” giving alumni a choice of Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale or Asahi, Japan’s biggest selling beer as their free pint then available throughout the day at the special Blues Village price of £3.60 per pint. Wine lovers can choose their free glass from a Nicolas Perrin Syrah Viognier 2011 or a Drouhin Vaudon Chablis 2010.
“Champagne“ said Churchill ..”In victory I deserve it, in defeat I need it” and whether it’s the Dark or Light Blues who come out on top you can toast great times with old friends with a glass of the finest Champagne from Pol Roger, the “Official Champagne of The Varsity Match”.
If you want a dram or hot toddy to warm you up on a winters day at Twickenham, then you can choose Glenfarclas from the heart of Speyside, the “Official Malt Whisky of The Varsity Match”.
There’s a whole range of great food on offer too including Chilli, Hog Roast, Thai and Curry and vegetarian options!
