Our 5th annual Telephone Campaign took place from 17 March to 1 April inclusive.
We recruited sixteen current students to work on the Campaign. They were Dara, Jiaxi, Janice, Michael, David, Agathe, Gloria, Ellie, Kerri-Anne, Heulwen, Molly, Frances, Megan, Stephanie, Rose and Charlotte. They very much enjoyed talking to alumni about Christ's and gaining support for the College.
This year, thanks to the generosity of Mr Alfred Harrison (m. 1958), every pound donated in support of our students was worth double to Christ's. Mr Harrison offered to match donations pound for pound and we were delighted that so many alumni responded to this by making their own gift.
Christ's College is committed to providing a first-rate education for our students and opportunities for research that has global reach. Competing internationally to attract the brightest and most able students, regardless of family or financial background, is crucial to our future and reputation.
Each year more than a third of our undergraduates and graduate students receive financial support from the College to enable them to study at Cambridge, at a cost to the College of more than £600,000 last year.
We are grateful to all those who support Christ's College.
